Going from bridge escape to elbow knee escape

Elbow Escape From Mounted Position @30.03 *
The fundamental elbow escape where opp. feet are out wider than they should be.
1) If opp. is upright: Place your right forearm across opp. beltline and hand on his right hip. Bring your right knee up, forcing opp. to post with his hands. 
2) Your left hand goes overtop your right hand, with left elbow just inside his knee. 
3) Slightly turn to your left side, placing your left leg straight on the mat, right foot on the mat. 
4) Push with your left elbow against opp. knee as you bend your knee bringing it inside opp. ankle. This raises his foot. 
5) Lock a triangle around opp. raised ankle with your right leg. 
6) Move your hips to the right, which lifts your opp. knee off the mat. Push opp. right leg between your legs with your left elbow.
7) Your left arm frames by grabbing opp. left shoulder to prevent opp. from cross facing you. 
8) Plant your left foot and shrimp to your right. Make sure there is some tension with your legs holding opp. right leg between them. 
9) Your right elbow pushes opp. left knee as you bring your right leg up between opp. legs. 
10) Straighten your body
11) Shrimp a bit to your left to clear to lower part of your right leg and put opp. in closed guard.

-Must get head inside of cross face.
-To do this, try double thumb post (c grips with both hands) on opp. arm once you read the apex of your bridge.  
-To get your initial cross face, bridge the wrong way first to create space to get your hand inside.

Ankle Trap Escape From Side Pin 11:19 - 23:44
-From under hook position, bridge to get to your side. Your under hook arm grips opp. ankle and pulls it down so you can hook it with your top leg, locking a triangle. Now your under hook arm wraps around opp. waist. Your other arm wraps opp. other leg from inside. a) if opp. hand is on the floor, get to your knees and take his back. b) if he has an over hook, walk your legs toward him causing his legs to come closer together. Roll opp. over you and onto his back.

1) Bring your left arm across opp. chest, posting on opp. shoulder. Insert your thumb under armpit. 
2) Shrimping, then extend left arm and pull your right arm to free it. 
3) Shrimp away, bring bottom leg between you and opp. and establish guard.

Escaping From Side Pins Where Opponent Uses Reverse Sit Out 14:43 - 28:00
A.
1) Bring your right elbow in and turn onto your side facing into him. 
2) Bridge into opp. to get a reaction, then bring bottom leg in and establish guard.

B.
1) Bring your right elbow in and turn onto your side facing into him. 
This time opp. waits but has his hand on your left knee. 
2) Post on his bicep, break his grip, bring your knee on his bicep and hold his cuff (semi spider guard)
3) Open your knee to the outside and bring your bottom leg in to establish guard

C.
1) Sometimes you can time your initial bridge and just get top position

D.
Opp. steps over into mount.(but doesn't yet have knee down)
1) Bridge into opp. (timing sensitive) and get top position

E.
Opp. steps over and gets knee down
1) Bridge to your left, rolling opp. and getting top position

F. 


Escaping From Knee On Belly Position 28:00 - 36:36
(Opp. on your right)
1) Bring your right knee up onto opp. hip then bridge to your right bringing his hands to the mat. 
2) Your left arm goes around opp. right knee as you shrimp or whip to your left, bringing opp. knee to the mat. 
3) Come to your knees. 
4) Your right hand on the mat as you drive into opp. hip with your head. Right hand grabs his heal as you drive him to hi back.
